Arch. Kristian Fabbri has worked as architect and consultant on building energy performance, indoor environmental quality, human behaviour, heritage and energy management. He collaborated with Emilia-Romagna Region (Public Bodies) and SMEs trade and professional training organizations. He is Adjunct Professor in Environmental Physics Technique and Building Simulation, with the Architecture Department at University of Bologna. He has conducted research and issued publications in the same fields.

The scope of the book is to present methods and ways of thinking to solve Diophantine Equations. The main subjects that have been discussed in the present work are classical Diophantine equations, Pell-type equations as well as some advanced methods for solving Diophantine equations (in the Ring of Gaussian integers, in the Ring of integers, quadratic reciprocity and divisors of certain forms). this is a great handbook to own, it will teach you the importance of how and when to fight your battles, but more importantly..how to pick the ones you want to fight. you will know the difference. and if you follow these simple guidelines, you will succeed.

timeless classic

This is about war, but it is more about getting things done. If you could only read 10 books in your lifetime, this book deserves to be on that list. I learn something new, every time I read this book. It is really neat. I know a former state representative, who reads this every single day, and gets something new, every time. Soul Sword: The Way and Mind of a Zen Warrior (Watkins Spiritual Classics), Path Notes of an American Ninja Master, The Book of Five Rings, and other such classics owe something to this book. It is simple, and profound.

I thought there would be more to it. I mean it served it's purpose for what I was looking for, but I guess there was not any explanation or illustrations. It was more like a starter book for other books of this ilk. It will force the reader to think about each section read so I believe that could be a good thing.

Fast times, fast cars, and rocker romance all in one

This is my first book by author Amo Jones and my goodness she did not disappoint me at all. Phoebe Rendon has a family unlike most of us. They are in the Sinful Souls MC club. And her brother loves her without a doubt and wants to protect her with his life. But he can also maybe be a little over protective. Phoebe loves all things fast and she wants nothing more than to live her life driving fast cars but that takes money so she takes a job that she really doesn't like too much in order to fulfill her life long dream of owning her own track. So she works as a fashion consultant and needs to go on the road for one last job to get the money she needs to make all this work. Never did she expect to find him again, the man that she once thought she loved. Until the day he left her. Can she continue with this job that she needs to finish out her dreams? Or will she lose it because of him, the rocker that she once thought loved her too, Ryder Oakley, in all of his glorious hotness that she once thought she loved. And who she thought once loved her. But something has changed he is no longer the nice man that she thought she loved but he is cold hearted to her. But what did she do? Does he really hate her that much? Also you have his twin brother that looks just like him. Can she get the answers she desperately needs to know? Why did he leave her so long ago? Why couldn't he just talk to her? Is there a chance that things can be different with them or will she lose herself in the process? This book is a romantic, suspenseful, rocker book with some MC thrown in too. At times I cried and laughed all the while wanting at times to reach into the pages of this book and strangle the men all at one time. Amo Jones is a wonderful author who really has a winner in this book. Everyone should one click this book and or put it on your TBR list on Goodreads as soon as possible.

Wow! what a story! I absolutely loved, loved, loved Losing Traction by Amo Jones! This is book one in the Westbeach series. I read this book in one sitting and then told a friend she must read it! just love Phoebe "Speedy" Rendon. She's sassy, loud, sarcastic, and sexy! What's not to love about her? She is an MC Princess with a penchant for racing fast cars. She takes a job in the fashion world, which is as far from the MC life and racing as you can get. Taking a job traveling with a band and its opening act, she comes face to face with the man who broke her heart some years before. Ryder Oakley of Twisted Transistor. Ryder is one finnnnnnne man! So what happens is .... I'm not going to tell you ... you are just going to have to read this to find out! Excellent start to a series I can't wait to read more about. So, when do we get Ryker's story????!!!!

This book is about Phoebe and Ryder.

Phoebe’s family are part of the Sinful Souls MC and has grown up to be one bad a*se women, racing cars like the best of them. Ryder is part of the words biggest rock bad Twisted Transister. Together they should fit at all but show how they do.

After Ryder ups and leaves Phoebe without a word one night, she is left heartbroken but fate steps in when she walks on the plane as Alyx Munroe’s stylist. She never expected to see Ryder and the boys sitting there. Finding out that Alyx is supporting them on tour, she has no choice but to pull up her big girl pants and show them the women she is today!

Amo’s writing style was on point. You connected with the characters, you believed every word you was reading, completely captivated by everything that was going on.

It wasn’t just a boy meets girl, falls in love blah blah blah. Each character had a purpose, they had their own story, they were all from different worlds, and yet, as a whole, they were brilliant.

I loved the relationship/banter between not only the band but between Phoebe and they boys. Especially with Ryker. Ryker’s personality hits you straight away and you cannot help but fall in love with him.

This was the first book I have read by Amo, and I it certainly wont’ be my last. I cannot wait for the next book in the Westbeach series because its Ryker’s story and I’ve already downloaded a few of the others.

I thought things like this would be fleshed out in a book

I wanted to believe in James Renner and that his search for Maura Murray was purely because he wanted to know what happened and solve a true crime puzzle. Nope. It's all for purely selfish reasons. To insert himself in someone's story and for money.

Agree with the other reviewer who said don't bother with this book, it's his blog. Well, it's exactly his blog, which I have followed from the beginning. The book offers no new information. For instance, in Chapter 46 "Drunk and Naked", where Renner goes to Hanson and speaks to Tim Carpenter. Instead of stating the question he asks Tim, Renner just writes "so, I asked Tim a tough question about Fred." Really??? What question did you ask Tim??? I thought things like this would be fleshed out in a book. Nope. It reads exactly like the blog post discussing this. Later in same Chapter, Renner visits Fred Jr. and Fred Jr. denies something Tim said, but we have no idea what Fred Jr. is denying so vehemently. Ridiculous. And there are many more examples just like this.

I'm done with Renner's blog. Maura Murray's story is tragic and sad for her family and friends, who want answers. Hopefully, some day they will get them, but it will not be due to anything James Renner did.

I had high hopes for this book and eagerly awaited its release. My advice is to not waste your money. The content is virtually a regurgitation of Renner's blog entries, sometimes word for word. The only new information I learned was irrelevant, unconfirmed, but damaging gossip about the missing woman herself as well as her friends and family, who did not want this book written from the start. They accurately predicted that Renner's book would involve sensationalism, given that the case has been cold for over a decade. True Crime Addict read like a tabloid.

Renner, in a recent interview, stated "As I was uncovering Maura and her personal demons I thought it was only fair to share mine as well". Self-disclosure is not a rational way to justify the exploitation of a missing woman and her family. I strongly question Renner's scruples and intentions, which he has had to continuously defend in the past given his lack of respect toward the people in Maura Murray's life. His anecdotes in the book are disturbing, where he describes many instances where he essentially stalked people who were close to Maura, justifying his lack of boundaries as a journalistic necessity. After reading True Crime Addict, I feel he has crossed the line and has done something irreversible, permanently spreading damaging gossip that serves no helpful purpose for Maura's case. It will certainly attract more readers.

Fred Murray, Maura's father, wrote an open letter to Renner several months ago, released on the blog of his private investigator. He stated that if his daughter were here with him today, she would think James Renner was a "creep". This book leads me to agree with Maura's would-be sentiments. Renner indeed comes of as creepy and insensitive, and obliviously so.

Dull and exploitative writing, no new info

I've been fascinated by the Maura Murray case for many years, and I looked forward to this book eagerly, buying the audiobook as soon as it came out.

Rarely have my expectations for a book been so thoroughly disappointed. This book is *not* about Maura Murray in any meaningful way- certainly it does not function on even the basic level of coherently presenting the facts of the case. It is primarily a platform for Renner to talk about himself in what he clearly believes is an interestingly gritty way, but which is in fact tawdry and dull, like listening to someone tell you about the new boyfriend they believe is an interesting bad boy but who is really just kind of a loser.

If you're interested in hearing in *great* detail about the lap dance he once received from a stripper whose sister was murdered (in his view, a clear sign from the universe that he should be writing about crime) or his driving drunk in the name of research (he purports to believe that by driving the route Maura drove before she went missing while drunk himself, he might manipulate time and see what happened, and I guess to hell with any people he might have killed in this process. Spoiler- time does not alter to solve the case in response to his DUI) or constantly portray his wife as a nag for objecting to his VERY objectionable behavior, this book may be of interest.

If you were hoping to read any new information, insights, or actual reporting in the Murray case, this book will be a disappointment. I returned it, because the idea of giving this man money had begun to make my skin crawl. There was no factual information on the case here that isn't already found on the internet or even in Renner's own blog- all he added was the frankly disturbing personal background on his own degree of personal unpleasantness and dysfunction and his own lack of insight in to that. Acknowledging that you're a sociopath and then just continuing to behave in sociopathic ways is not the same thing as insight.

Renner has developed a reputation for harassing the Murray family and others close to the case over the years, and I had previously believed it to be overblown, but in this book he reinforces the degree of his own borderline stalking behavior towards them, and for the first time in my years of following the case, made me feel that their odd behavior might actually make perfect sense in light of dealing with a "reporter" like this. I came away from this book primarily feeling guilty about having read and given credence to the author's blog over the years.

the nephew of a hated king recently killed for his crimes

With an intricate, action-filled plot, in which mystery and twists are seamlessly woven, it was hard to put this book down. Basen, the nephew of a hated king recently killed for his crimes, has to carve out a life for himself in a foreign land full of people who despise his family. But the story doesn't dwell on him being rejected. You'll find no whining in this book. It jumps into the plot quickly: the Academy and the conflicts surrounding it. Basen has high hopes for himself, and the skills and charm for his determination to pay off, but the world he's in is brutal, setting him up for the challenge of his life.

The characters have all earned their place in the story by having their own goals and determination, making them seem very realistic. The story is ultimately about Basen, but I really got a feel for what life is like for nearly all the characters as well as a good notion of the world they live in. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Decent plot, rushed writing

The idea and plot setup is good but the author rushes by quite a bit of character and world development opportunities with very direct and shallow writing. It's almost like they're trying to hurry you past all the important details and through the plot outline. New concepts, magic elements, locations, people, etc are introduced without any setup or subtlety, usually in dialogue like "hey main character, have you heard of x brand new concept that is now really important". It's like the author has a lot of stuff in their head but is impatient to get it into yours, so they just rush through everything. There's a lot of "told but not shown". The dialogue is also very YA in terms of its simplicity where characters usually just blurt out what they are thinking or feeling. The style is ok at times, but this book should have been twice as long for the same plot to properly develop everything, and this author should invest more in world and character building, and subtlety in dialogue and presentation. Not every fantasy novel needs to be a 900 page epic, but stories need room to breathe, and this had none.

The story revolves around a boy who was exiled with his father to a kingdom where everyone hates him. Destitute and desperate the boy is finally given a chance to leave a life of hunger behind and join the academy of magic. While studying magic he makes friends while discovering a new way to use his magic, soon followed by evil forces setting in motion a plan to take over the kingdom.

I honestly can't think of one thing I hated about this book. Most books you can predict the entire story line but with this book there are so many angles and possible enemies that your not sure if if you can trust your gut feeling. They do not go into great detail about the teachings at school which was a let down for me but you will find the assassinations are interesting and the magic is still decent. I will say I don't like the use of wands with a cap in the tip to hold pellets that make magic possible.

The advantages of polymers allow the creation of such a barrier at minimal cost,providingprotectionoftheworkingmachinesfromcorrosion,combining their manufacture with preservation and decreasing the cost of anticorrosion. This is one of the main reasons why world production of polymer materials increased by almost 50% in the past decade.

The development of polymer composites containing inhibitors of metal corrosion is an important endeavour in modern materials science and technology. Corrosion inhibitors can be located in a polymer matrix in the solid, liquid or gaseous phase. This book details the thermodynamic principles for selecting these components, their compatibility and their effectiveness. The various mechanisms of metal protection – barrier, inhibiting and electromechanical – are considered, as are the conflicting requirements placed on the structure of the combined material. Two main classes of inhibited materials (structural and films/coatings) are described in detail. Examples are given of structural plastics used in friction units subjected to mechano-chemical wear and of polymer films/coatings for protecting metal objects against corrosion.
