There have been many opportunities over the last few years of residency where I would have liked to look quickly at some high-yield neurosurgery material that would require minimal preparation. That is, I don't want to have to go and find a book at the library, or carry one around with me, and then have to find a short section of a chapter to review, etc. I would have loved to carry around 10-20 cards in my pockets to rapid review at any time I had a moment to spare. In fact, when I studied for my written board exam I produced hundreds of flash cards for review of important facts.
