About the Author
Dr. Delores M. Etter, Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition, leads R&D and acquisition throughout the U.S. Navy. She is the first United States Naval Academy faculty member to hold the Office of Naval Research Distinguished Chair in Science and Technology. Dr. Etter is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, and a fellow of IEEE, AAAS, and ASEE.

if you need to use matlab this covers all the basics to get you started. has a glossary so it is great to use as a reference.

Newbie beware - many errors ahead!

Although this book is written for the new Matlab programmer, the number of errors (coding and grammatical) will lead the newbie astray. I gave up partway through the book because I did not know whether the errors I saw in my code were my own, or a result of the poor code examples in the book.
